REFLEXÕES SOBRE O TRABALHO DO PROFESSOR E DO TUTOR VIRTUAL EM CURSOS DE LICENCIATURA NO EAD
Abstract
Considering that the emergence of new information and communication technologies impacted and brought new impulses to distance education, with the help of the Internet, this has enabled the emergence of these new alternatives as a central element of the teaching and learning process. Regarding the reflection on the role of the Tutor in the Context of Online Distance Education, in teacher training, we highlight the main differences between their activities, which were previously attributed to traditional teachers, accustomed to experiencing their practice in another way. In addition to discussing obstacles and appropriate strategies in this Online environment and overcoming the geographical and temporal distance that existed between teachers and students, it was from there that we sought answers to specific questions, such as: Does the tutor teach? How is the tutor's job? What are their roles and functions? What is important in tutoring in the context of an online distance course? Consequently, distance education, previously focused on printed texts, is now giving way to digital electronic sources, bringing almost infinite possibilities for learning. However, in this new situation, the traditional roles of teachers, students and institutions need to be better understood and investigated to face the necessary changes.
